I’ve collected my favorite bits of 2020 Wedding Trends inspiration for all you summer brides on Pinterest. Follow along and let the day-dreaming begin.
Ever since the world wide wedding web broke when Chiari Ferragni wore this Dior Haute Couture to her wedding reception in 2018 I have waited with bated breath for the trend to hit the ready to wear bridal world. Come summer 2020 I think we’ll be there!
Even classic designers like Monique Illhuer have captured the whimsical vibe with floral prints, exaggerated skirts and stunning veils and capes.
Color will be a big component of 2020 celebrations. I am seeing a wave of new bold colors used in more playful ways. Imagine a single saturated color in the design and all other elements being more restrained. Overall there is feeling of minimalism with a bit of personality. Bouquets will be the star in 2020. I’m even seeing a few bouquet “garlands” draped over brides’ shoulders almost like a romantic lei.
As you dream up your floral design imagine one focal element. Perhaps your sweetheart or head table, the bar or a suspended element. Invest there and show restraint on the tabletops. We’re playing with some unique bud vase installations.
It’s all in the details. This summer the details will bring out the fun in you and your guests. I’m seeing lots of light installations, interactive elements, games and simple food served beautifully. Think pizza bars and popsicles. Who wouldn’t be happy with that?!

The truth is I hated planning my own wedding. I felt like I was going it alone and was surprised by how hard it was to find partners who embraced my vision. Thankfully, the guy was worth it and that experience is what led me to become a wedding planner. After a decade of planning luxury weddings I am bringing my process to you.
