I love to see how the worlds of fashion and interior design are influencing weddings.
This time of year there is no fashion event more influential than the MET Gala. This year’s theme of CAMP brought out the eccentric, playful and over the top in the A-list, and I think in us all. The street style on Newbury (in Boston) in recent weeks has been noticeably more CAMP.
While I don’t see weddings going full GAGA anytime soon I do think more and more couples are pushing the boundaries of tradition.
Lots of color. Especially coral
Grazing Tables. Instead of passed hors d’oeuvres
Bridesmen and Groomsladies. Mixed gender wedding parties. Can I just say I will be a groomslady or bridesmaid for anyone who lets me wear a sexy white suit like this.
Fun signage that matches your personality.
Whimsical Veils
Hand Drawn Invitation or Printed Elements

The truth is I hated planning my own wedding. I felt like I was going it alone and was surprised by how hard it was to find partners who embraced my vision. Thankfully, the guy was worth it and that experience is what led me to become a wedding planner. After a decade of planning luxury weddings I am bringing my process to you.
